Transformers: Prime is the newly-debuted Hub series based on the popular toy franchise by Hasbro. It is the fifteenth animated series based on the brand and has, since its premiere in 2010, taken off, quickly gaining a Daytime Emmy award and loads of merchandise.

The Transformers: Prime toys as advertised on the McDonald's website.

Sold alonside fellow Hub channel show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, McDonald's produced a set of eight Happy Meal Toys based on the show. Toys included in the promotion are Optimus Prime, Megatron, BumbleBee, Bulkhead, Starscream, Ratchet, Knock-Out and Breakdown. Though, unlike the My Little Pony set which has the functions of the original toys, the Transformers are not able to "transform".

The commercials advertising the Transformers toys feature the characters from the Farm set of commercials. The beginning simply describes the farm and it's inhabitants, such as DeDe the dino and Ant. The end, though, focuses on the toys and the goat character is seen playing with the BumbleBee toy.

  • Frank Welker voiced Grimace in a large number of his commercial appearances as well as the short-lived character CosMc.
  • Kevin Michael Richardson also voiced Grimace in his appearances on the VHS series "The Wacky World of Ronald McDonald".
